David Benjamin Wright, age 60, of Bryant, passed from this life on January 19, 2022. He was born in Little Rock, on February 23, 1961, to Ben and Bobbie Sue Davis Wright. David, who was affectionately called Pooh Bear by many of his friends, graduated from Mills High School in 1979. He served 32 years as a member of the 106 ^th Army Band of the Arkansas Army National Guard, and he retired after a 30 year career with the Little Rock Fire Department. At the time of his death, he was a student at National Park College in Hot Springs, studying marine technology. He was an active member of Bryant First Southern Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing bass guitar with the worship team.  He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing golf.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eustace and Daisy Wright; and Chester and Pauline Davis.

David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Lancaster Wright; son, Josh Wright (Mollie) of Fayetteville; his parents, Ben and Bobbie Wright of Heber Springs; sister, Donna Myatt (Keith) of McKinney, TX; sister, Paula Bivins (Frank) of Heber Springs; grandchildren, Bo and Josie Wright of Fayetteville; and many nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, at 10:00 A.M. at Bryant First Southern Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Peter Cunningham. Burial with military honors will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
